Creelman House, originally constructed in 1730, holds a distinguished place on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing property in the Old Deerfield Historic District. TCI worked with Jones Whitsett Architects to approach the restoration and to maintain the building's original character while adapting it to serve its new purpose. The multifaceted restoration plan addressed various aspects, including dormitory accommodations, handicapped accessibility, enhanced energy efficiency, and improved fire safety measures.
The restoration efforts encompassed a range of tasks such as installing new roofs, reconstructing chimneys, and repairing several porches and decks. To modernize the building's infrastructure, new insulation and building systems were introduced, comprising mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
